John is best known for his role as Peter McCallister, the dad in the Home Alone movies. Heard could never shake his role as the dad in the "Home Alone" movies. Although these actors have passed away, a piece of them will live on forever immortalized in the movies in which they appear and especially in Home Alone, a Christmas Classic that will no doubt still be a favorite for generations to come.
